A new build called Next Move just showed up on r/PromptEngineering, and the idea behind it is simple. It’s aimed at people who are not prompt engineers. The creator made it with their parents in mind.
What’s new
Next Move is built around “Playbooks.” Each one is a guided prompt builder for a specific real-life situation. The library is wide: work and business, family, dealing with breast cancer, single girl dads, service members and their spouses. Everyday stuff, not just office tasks.
The twist
Most prompt libraries hand you a finished prompt. That prompt was written for someone else’s life, so it fits you about as well as a borrowed jacket. A Playbook flips the order. It asks for your details first, then builds the prompt around them.
You get two choices after that:
- Edit the fuller prompt and copy it into your own AI agent
- Run it directly on the site
The person using it never has to think about prompting. They just answer questions about their own situation, and the context gets filled in for them.
Mini-workflow to try it
- 🧭 Pick the Playbook that matches your situation
- 📝 Fill in your details (be specific, this is where the quality comes from)
- ✏️ Read the generated prompt and edit anything that’s off
- 🚀 Copy it into your AI of choice, or run it on the site
Pro tips
- Treat the generated prompt as a draft. Cutting a line or adding a constraint takes ten seconds and often helps.
- If you build prompts for non-technical people, steal the pattern: ask for context first, write the prompt second. A short intake form beats a clever template.
- Try it on someone who has never typed a good prompt in their life. That’s the real test, and the creator is asking for exactly that kind of feedback.
The post only has one upvote and no comments yet, so this is early. But the pattern is worth noticing. The gap between people who get great answers from AI and people who get mushy ones is usually context, not cleverness. A form closes that gap without teaching anyone a thing.
Check it out at gottamakeaplay.com and tell the creator what works and what doesn’t. Got a parent or friend who struggles with AI? Hand them one Playbook and watch what happens 🧭
We’re good at prompting, but most people suck at it. So I made something for people like my parents, lol.
