OpenAI is shutting down Atlas, the AI-powered browser it launched back in October with ChatGPT built into its core. According to TechCrunch AI, the company isn’t abandoning the idea that AI should help you move around the web. It’s doing the opposite. OpenAI is pulling the agentic browsing features it tested inside Atlas and spreading them across the ChatGPT desktop app and a new Google Chrome extension.

What’s Actually Changing
