WWDC AI News: New Features Arrive, Siri Waits

WWDC News: Siri’s Still Catching Z’s, but AI Goodies Arrived!

Ahoy, tech adventurers! Captain YAR here. So, WWDC 2025 happened, and if you were holding your breath for a totally revamped Siri… well, keep holding it a bit longer! Our favorite assistant’s big personalization upgrades are still \”on the horizon,\” needing more polish. Apple says they’re working on it, but it’s another year of waiting for that super-smart Siri.

But here’s the cool AI stuff Apple did unveil (hello, Apple Intelligence!):

  • Live Translation: Now in Messages, FaceTime, and calls! Super handy.
  • Image Playground + ChatGPT: Transform pics into art styles. Pretty neat!
  • Smarter Screen Search: Ask questions or find similar items based on what’s on your screen.

It feels like Apple’s still playing catch-up in the big AI race, especially with Google and Microsoft speeding ahead. Remember those awesome Siri features from last year’s ads? Still MIA. And that dream of Siri using other AI like Google’s Gemini? Not this time, though whispers say it might happen eventually.

My take? Apple’s definitely sprinkling more AI magic into its ecosystem, which is awesome! These new tools are practical. But the all-powerful Siri we’re dreaming of? She’s still under construction. Stay tuned, mateys!
