You can now embed Tim Ferriss’s core thinking models directly into your AI assistant. Seriously!
I often struggle to translate amazing high-level concepts from books into my day-to-day work, but I just stumbled upon something incredible that solves this. The original poster on Reddit did the hard work of analyzing Ferriss’s best frameworks and turning them into copy-and-paste AI prompts.
This innovator basically created a cheat code for productivity and strategic thinking. By feeding these prompts to your AI, you can apply sophisticated mental models like the 80/20 principle or fear-setting to your specific problems in seconds.
Here are three of my favorites from the list:
💡 The 80/20 Analyzer
This prompt forces the AI to find the highest-leverage activities in any area of your life or business. It’s Pareto on steroids.
“Analyze my current [WORK/BUSINESS/LIFE AREA]: [DESCRIBE YOUR SITUATION]. Apply the 80/20 principle at 3 levels: 1) What 20% of activities produce 80% of my results? 2) Within that 20%, what 20% produces 80% of THOSE results (the 4%)? 3) What 80% should I eliminate or delegate immediately? Give me a specific action plan to focus only on the vital few.”
📌 The Fear-Setting Framework
Perfect for breaking through analysis paralysis when you’re facing a big decision. The creator designed this to make the AI walk you through the process with brutal honesty.
“I’m considering [BIG DECISION/CHANGE] but I’m paralyzed by fear. Walk me through Tim Ferriss’s fear-setting exercise: 1) What’s the worst that could happen if I do this? (Be specific) 2) How could I prevent each worst-case scenario? 3) How could I repair the damage if it happens? 4) What’s the cost of inaction over 6 months, 1 year, 3 years? Make this analysis brutally honest.”
✅ The Meta-Prompt
This might be the most powerful one of all. It’s a master prompt that makes the AI think like Tim Ferriss to analyze any challenge you throw at it.
“Pretend you’re Tim Ferriss analyzing my situation: [DESCRIBE CHALLENGE]. What questions would Tim ask to find the leverage point? What experiment would he design to test solutions? What would his contrarian take be?”
This is such a smart way to make complex strategies immediately useful. My mind is buzzing with ways to use these.
